Cartoon Network EMEA Greenlights Ben 10 Challenge Live Action Game Show
Today (08/06/2017), Cartoon Network UK (and other feeds in the Europe, Middle East and Africa) has officially announced a brand new live action game show based on one of Cartoon Network’s most popular franchises in the history of the channel – Ben 10, the new game show follows the new rebooted series which premiered in the EMEA area last October. This isn’t the first time of there being a Ben 10 themed game show, back in 2011, Ben 10 Ultimate Challenge was aired on several international versions of Cartoon Network, 25 different country versions of the game show were produced, with a separate Southeast Asian version produced in 2013.
In each of the 10 episodes, there will be two teams of three, two kid fans and one supporting adult, emulating the trio – Ben, Gwen and Grandpa Max from the show, all three members of the team will face a range of physical and mental challenges, testing their speed and strength, which is needed to be a hero just like Ben Tennyson and to battle intergalactic villains. Also, contestants will need to brush up on their Ben 10 knowledge as they will be asked questions about the series.
After completing three action-packed contests, the team with the highest score will go into one big final challenge battling against the clock. To enrich and to bring the Ben 10 experience into life, modern technologies like augmented reality and special effects will be used.
Production will start in Madrid, Spain at the end of June and eight different localised versions set to be created: France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, Poland, Spain, Turkey and UK. Turner has teamed up with Spanish production company La Competencia Productions to produce the game show, which will premiere in the aforementioned countries from late 2017. A total of 320 kids will be taking part from all across the EMEA region, also to mention, Playmates Toys will be releasing a range of Ben 10 toys hitting toy stores this summer and new Ben 10 mobile and console games will be released soon.

Turner EMEA has revealed today that it will be producing a live game show, entitled Ben 10 Challenge, based on its successful Ben 10 franchise and the all-new series that first launched on Cartoon Network across EMEA in October last year.
Each of the 10 x 22 minute episodes will feature two teams of three – two kid fans and one supportive adult; simulating the close-knit family trio of Ben, Gwen and Grandpa Max – take on a range of physical and mental challenges, testing their speed, strength and other Ben 10 villain-conquering skills, as well as their knowledge of the series. After completing three action-packed contests, the team with the highest score will go into a final exhilarating challenge against the clock. Utilising modern technologies like augmented reality, tons of thrilling special effects and of course the iconic Ben 10 aliens and villains, Ben 10 Challenge will be the ultimate live-action Ben 10 adventure for fans of Cartoon Network’s popular series.

Cartoon Network recently announced that it has renewed the all-new Ben 10 series for a second season and will be expanding the Ben 10 universe with new mobile and console games, along with a host of other immersive experiences. The first series of the brand-new show is currently airing on Cartoon Network worldwide.
